At the Patch on Sunday 10ish weather permitting. Potting strawberries, planting bulbs, moving bushes around.  Small steps-big difference!

Some of us will be in St Catherine's school on Monday helping kids to make lavender bags from the seeds taken from the Stricklandgate Garden.  These are being posted by the kids through letter boxes in Foster St as a gift from each child.

The patch would benefit from a tidy up before winter sets in...and some reflection on the progress to date and thoughts for next year.

Please come and help with an Autumn Clean-up from 10.00-11.30 the next two Sundays 21st & 28th October.

Chat about the garden's first summer and your suggestions for next year. There may even be a bacon butty and cup of tea!

Please join us on PACT's visit to Todmorden on 9th June.

A minibus is booked at a cost of around £13 each.

The advantage of going on 9th June is that Pam Warhurst has said she will give us a tour of all the projects in the town.

We would leave Penrith Cricket Club at around 9:20am and return at around 6pm. Please email me maureen.ward@hotmail.co.uk or telephone 07974728064 if you want to go.

We are taking over the neglected border at the bottom of Stricklandgate and Watson Terrace to plant and maintain a community fruit garden, planting current bushes, gooseberries and strawberries etc. With a border of lavender bushes to keep out the dogs.

Ranger Guides planted a raised bed with heather and had our first BBQ - see photos below.
