Ingredients
- 500g/1 lb onions
- 500g apples (peeled & cored)
- 500g sultanas
- 500g raisins
- 500g soft brown sugar
- ½ pt malt vinegar (can be spiced by boiling up pickling spices and left to stand for a few hours)
- 1 teaspoon salt & dash of pepper
- (I add some Balsamic vinegar to darken the chutney)
Steps
- Mince first 4 ingredients (use a mincer, blender or food processor)
- Add vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper
- Stir well and leave overnight
- Bottle and store for 2 weeks before eating.
