Many thanks to all those who came and helped on the stand and brought stuff for us to display at Apple Day. The themes were Grow Yor Own and Foraging backed up by displays of project and materials and a demonstration of a 'no cook' Apple chutney, seed giveaway, vegetable and hedge row foraged berries and jellies. We spoke to lots of people about what PACT does and about the community gardening as well as giving advice on growing vegetable and supplying asparagus kale seed and some other seeds.
I think we probably spoke to between 60-80 people who were attracted to the stand by the displays and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Lots of them took away the website address and chutney recipes (which Joan put PACT details on the back). We were complimented on our stand by the organisers. We met several people who were new to the area who expressed and interest to be involved, some having been involved elsewhere.
So a good result, thank you again.
