As part of the Visiting Edible Gardens programme, we are very pleased to let you have a look round Chris and Duncan's garden near Kirkoswald.
The garden is one acre, the former walled kitchen garden of Staffield Hall which we took on about 10 years ago as a derelict site. We have restored the Edwardian glasshouses and are making (very gradually!) other areas into different styles of garden including traditional veg and fruit. We have a small 'Forest Garden' planted with fruit, nuts etc as well as veg garden and fruit bushes.
Free event. Any donations to go to Cumbria Wildlife Trust. Refreshments available.
A small display is planned and some seedlings may be available to take away.
Toilet available. The event will go ahead if it is raining.
Please park on main road - do not drive in through the Staffield Hall entrance - and follow signs to walk in. Please car share. Map.
SORRY EVENT FULL.
Please use the above link to reserve a free place. Anyone attending will have to sign in on a sheet.
Any questions, please phone Chris on 01931 713240.
