Right: Emily Sharp receiving a trug plus plenty of plums.
Penrith and Eden District Freegle held a busy Give and Take at the Soup Shop in the Devonshire Arcade on Saturday. Almost 100 people brought stuff along to give away - or took stuff away.
Items handed over included: bike, plums, runner beans, books, kettle, toaster, iron, juicer, skateboard, radio, lamp, waterproof socks, lightbulbs and a tummy tightener. Some seeds and plants were also given away.
Thanks to the Soup Shop and helpers Caroline and Peter. Note the Soup Shop can be used as a drop off point for Freegle transfers and there is a bookcase there for free books, CDs and other items.
Any items left over will be Freegled or given to a charity shop.
