At our October meeting, we plan to chat about Wild Fell by Lee Schofield and The Natural Navigator by Tristan Gooley. You can read both, one or neither. Just come along and have a natter about nature and nurture books; all are welcome. You can tell us you’re coming along, or just pop in on the day.

The September meeting discussed Wilding, in which Isabella Tree charts the journey of discovery her family took to wilding their farm, and the realisation of what they learnt by just standing back and the watching the magic of nature. We enjoyed discussing how we could apply these same lessons to other aspects of our lives. We had also all watched the film. It was beautiful and evocative, but we felt that the book provides the full story, details of the science and explanations of the often difficult journey they took. As well as being thought-provoking, it inspired lively discussions about re-wilding and led to our next two choices for the next meet-up.
