PACT Community Action Officer Contract

Opportunity to contribute to local environmental survival

PACT Community Action Officer

Penrith Action for Community Transition is seeking a part-time Community Action Officer to help us to realise our community-based environmental activities and to meet our commitments under the ongoing National Lottery funded project A Zero Carbon Cumbria: by the people for the people.  PACT is a voluntary organisation that has been striving to bring about a more sustainable way of life in Penrith and the Eden Valley for more than a decade.  Our goal is to motivate local people to reduce their carbon footprint and environmental impact in a way that builds community connections and resilience.  PACT is contributing to the ambitious five-year ZCC project to cut greenhouse gas emissions and promote decarbonisation to reach Cumbria’s declared zero-carbon goal by 2037.

Working mainly remotely from home as a freelance contractor, the CAO would support PACT with project delivery, communications, promotion and administration.  The full specification of the role and an application form are available on the PACT website www.penrithact.org.uk.  To apply, please download, complete and submit the application form by 12:00 (noon) Friday 27 May 2022.  Selection for interview (on Zoom) will be based on application forms only.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like further information about this opportunity on email: info@penrithact.org.uk.
